Alex launched his advertising career in 1997 working for the graphic design firm Banowetz and Company located in Dallas, Texas. While there, he learned, among many other things, the difference between normal spray mount and Spray Mount 69...the hard way. After all he was an intern.
A year later, he made his move to the Hispanic Market working for Ornelas and Associates. Here he helped in winning the agency's first and only car account, Nissan North America. He was also involved in the Hispanic marketing initiative for Anheuser Busch.
After a two-year stint, he took himself west...far west into California where he worked at Casanova Pendrill as a Senior Art Director. Even though he never learned how to surf, he did help turn around many key brands at the agency, most notably Coors Light, California Lottery and General Mills.
In 2002, Alex headed back to the Lonestar State to work at Dieste Harmel and Partners. Within two years of arriving at DHP, he was promoted to Associate Creative
