Hello there.
I'm Alban and Since graduation with a BA(Hons) in TV and film Design in 2006 I have been working in media and TV. I have experience recording live events and creating short form content for clients pretty much straight out of the gate from graduating. Since 2010 I have had fantastic opportunities to work within ITV and BBC flagship shows such as coronation Street, Emmerdale, The Voice an Blue Peter (to name drop a few). And I've also worked on chaotic fast pasted shows like Hollyoaks and survived the experience.
My primary role at the moment is camera assistant within TV studio and Outside Broadcast (OB) shows. This role requires me to set up and maintain broadcast standard equipment in its many forms from cameras, monitors and portable Galleries. What ever the production needs to get started and moving forward.
Environments like Coronation Street have granted me a great environment in which to learn. Both technically and creatively. But sadly a lack of opportunity for freelancers means little to no progression. However I am actively seeking opportunities (like this one) for me to put in to practice all I have learnt. Both technically and creatively. From camera operating, how to light scenes creating mood and atmosphere. Even the needs of the sound department. It has garnished me with a wealth of practical technical knowledge from many of the top industry professionals in the field. All Im looking for in return in a place to call home where I can continue to grow and progress creatively and an opportunity to put into practise my technical knowledge.
