About me

Advertising is not about ai, cgi, dei. It's about ideas. You don't know you don't know. But sadly most people trying to make it in advertising these days don't want to know. They want to make money. My boss Sir John Hegarty said the money will come, don't focus on it. He was right about this and that the idea is everything.
From the start of my career and all the way through it ideas have been my focus. I began with branding and direct marketing then press & poster advertising followed by global TV, online advertising and social media content. In the early years we didn't have the distraction of computers and the internet. Our brains were our software and we controlled it, not globalist corporations.
Bartle Bogle Hegarty is where I gained most of my TV experience having spent 11 years working there full time. I've spent most of my career working full time in top global agencies in London. Before this I worked in Brighton and helped set up a successful ad agency of 30 people, a year after I left for much bigger opportunities in London it sadly folded. But far worse was my best friend and colleague who became a CD of another local agency died on his first solo microlight flight 2 years later. He was a very talented and creative bundle of energy, wasted on Brighton.

I was lucky enough to be at BBH when it was still a private company and several of the hottest teams in London were there, in fact I helped one of them get started in the business in the 1980s.

These days I'm an influencer of a different sort. I work on illustration, social media, video editing and so on.

To date I've worked on over 70 global brands, here's just a few:

The irony is I would never agree to work on 95% of global brands these days as they're now used to push globalist agendas based on bogus narratives.
Some of my awards:
2 D&AD Silvers, 1 Cannes Silver, a BTAA Silver and Bronze, One Show, DMA, Precision Marketing, Design Week, Eurobest, Caples, BBH black sheep award plus their coveted BBH ad of the year award. I also received an email from John Hegarty saying he wished he 'had made my Audi ad'.

I've been lucky enough to work with some of the most creative and talented people in the advertising and communications business. I feel sorry for those creative people who've missed this golden era that I was able to enjoy in its final decade or two.
