About me

I am Alaa Nawar, a video editor and after effects animator with more than 4 years of experience. I worked as a freelancer, especially in video post production in an international environment. I am looking for a Job in Germany related to my experience and skills.

I edited videos with Adobe Premiere Pro CC 2018, 2D video animation with Adobe After Effects 2018, color correction, set up studio lighting, recorded videos with a professional camera, and designed brochures, flyers, and business cards using Adobe Photoshop and Adobe Illustrator. I also produced news, social media, corporate, product, service and educational videos for my clients. I used to create video content in the 3 languages German, English and Arabic. In this context, I've worked with big companies like Shell, YHI, Shopify and Epoints. With my diverse experiences, I can directly support your work and familiarize myself independently and quickly with new areas of responsibility.

The courses in my bachelor's degree in mass communication included courses on multimedia production techniques that taught Adobe Creative Suite programs, as well as photojournalism and desktop publishing. The production uses images and a combination of text, audio and graphics to tell a story. In the camera technique course, I was also taught about camera mounting, camera movements, camera angles, shooting sizes, lighting, and the use of suitable camera lenses. My current Master of Arts in Comparative Media Studies prepares me for the rapid changes in the local and international media industry. The focus of this study is to investigate the impact of advances in communication technologies on the boundaries between the areas of mass communication. As part of these new trends in the media industry, I also deal with media convergence, the constitution of media conglomerates and media ownership.

I presented my study "Framing International Incidents In Video News Reports: A Comparative Study Between CNN and Aljazeera" at the Fourth International Conference on Communication and Media Studies at the University of Bonn on September 27, 2019. So far I have been able to speak basic German language skills A2, so that I have a very good foundation for further language acquisition.
