Hi team,

My name is Ajay Pandya, I'm 27 and I've been writing since I can remember. My love of English led me to a BA in English & History and an MA in Journalism which I've just completed. I have worked for the last four years as an English Teacher, and would like to test my own witty clever writing style against the industry standard to see if I can actually write for a living, or if indeed my students were right and I'm the only one laughing at my jokes.

Oh, if I was a brand

Well, I would like to believe that I was a Loake brogue. After the Hipster explosion a few years ago, I saw people wearing terrible brogues that had been mass produced by clothing companies; no welting, poor leather and no weatherproofing. I set out on a quest for the perfect brogue, and in the Loake classic tan brogue I found what I was looking for. I love travelling and muddy hikes etc, so I really tested this pair, and they still look and feel like I'm walking on air. Plus, they go with a suit AND jeans (not easy to pull off). If I was to make one suggestion to the boys at Loake it would be that their website is straight out of 1990. No interactive features or graphics whatsoever. Quality workmanship should sing itself from the rooftops, unfortunately, it is not the case for Loake, for whom I may be the only person under fifty who has ever attempted to use the website. I think I'm Loake because I am durable, versatile, (good looking, obviously) and have a solid background in what I do. I'm not a flash in the pan writer doing it because it's 'cool'; this is what I was built for, and it's all I've ever known. If I was to pick a fault for myself, like Loake, I may be the only person who knows how great my potential is.

What topic do I never shut up about

Comics are my guilty pleasure, I read voraciously and it is the only kind of art I have ever been able to connect with; to be in real awe of. I like having to work as a viewer, and for that, you can't beat good old reading (War and Peace anyone
