About me
I am a young man that has always been passionate about the creative arts and I want to make my first steps in the creative industry.
Having gained a degree in Accounting & Finance, I have acquired many desired skills such as proficiency with Excel, organisation and attention to detail. I am also partly qualified in the ACCA accounting standards. I have excellent communication and interpersonal skills. I work effectively both as part of a team and independently. My ability to listen and empathise, whilst still maintaining a sense of objectivity, is of a high standard, and I can present information clearly and concisely to educate, persuade and/or convince people. These skills proved especially useful during my time as a claims consultant at the Financial Ombudsman Service, where I had to take calls from various people, each with unique concerns and queries.
I have always had the innate desire to create no matter what. Due to that desire, I have taught myself various skills such as drawing (character design and comic creation), composing, editing, writing, graphic design and voice acting. To further my cause, I embarked on a 10-week media traineeship with Media Trust, an organisation which focuses on developing media talent in young people from diverse backgrounds. Through that course I learned more invaluable skills such as writing, editing, pitching ideas, presentation & public speaking, planning, flexibility and many more.
The creative arts have always been a keen interest of mine, and I have spent many years studying various subjects within this field. Alongside my Accounting & Finance Degree, I taught myself how to use a plethora of programs and frequently uploaded my own original content to sites such as YouTube and SoundCloud. I currently have experience with Photoshop, Clip Studio Paint, Sony Vegas Pro, Adobe Premiere Pro, FL Studio and more. I am a fast learner and I am always looking for new programs and techniques to learn to boost my creative ability and potential.
Being constantly fascinated at the process of bringing stories and ideas to life, one of my main goals is to be able to partake in the creation of media. Gaining experience at an established company would be extremely invaluable to my future career.
