Dear Sir or Madam,
I wish to be considered for the Junior Events Co-ordinator role your company advertised on Creativepool. As a recent 2:1 Psychology graduate from Cardiff University, I have a strong interest in Events Marketing and relevant work experience, and believe I am a good candidate for the position.
You will see from my enclosed CV that I have gained a wide variety of both transferable and specific skills, which relate to working in the events marketing sector. My internship at iD experiential marketing agency gave me an invaluable insight into experiential marketing and the processes that take place within a marketing company. My role as an intern involved researching clients and their previous work as well as the brand's competitors. I created material such as mood boards, powerpoints and word documents that were used in planning meetings as well as helping to organise brand activation pop up events in London. These responsiblities gave me a great opportunity to use my strong research and creativity skills.
My retail experience has helped me to develop a friendly, helpful and understanding attitude, which is essential to maintaining positive client relationships. This role also gave me experience of working in a team-based culture in order to meet the company's targets and reputation. Our effective teamwork resulted in the store winning "Small Topman Store of the Year".
During University I obtained many transferable skills that can be applied to work in marketing: researching clients, competitors and target audiences, as well as writing reports, identifying trends and analysing performance data.
My photography and art hobbies demonstrate my creative ability and allow me to express my ideas in a creative manner. These creativity skills can be applied to working in marketing especially in terms of implementing campaigns and advertising through social media. Being a user of many popular websites, I have a good understanding and awareness of different ways to communicate to target audiences through the internet.
I believe that my research, IT and presentation skills obtained from my degree, combined with customer service and teamwork skills used in the workplace make me a good candidate for a career in Events Marketing.
