About me

Dear Sir or Madam,

I would like to express my interest for the position of Production Intern.

As a recent graduate with a proven ability in creating engaging content online and a life-long passion for solving social issues, I am a strong candidate for the position. Growing up exposed to inequality through my family's charity work in the UK and Africa, I have a sound awareness of social issues and a deep desire to tackle them. I actively tailored my degree to further my knowledge on these issues by taking modules on exclusion and equality. I am committed to dedicating my life to creating positive social change, as is demonstrated in my past internships and volunteer work, all of which have been at charities or social businesses.

Furthermore, I have a passion for video production, with self-taught knowledge of InDesign. I love making movies, and have done so for personal use, university assessment and music video production. I am eager to develop these skills. I also discovered a flair for producing digital content as a freelance writer for BuzzFeed, gaining over 3 million views. Additionally, I completed my dissertation on the scope of social media to promote the acceptance of difference. I am proficient in written communication, developed through my internship at Farm Africa where I created captivating case studies that were picked up by national media. I thrive when I am committed to a socially positive end goal, and I am a keen and quick learner. I believe that my experience and skill set would make me an asset to your team.
