About me
I am currently employed at AGI as Catalogue Account Manager for our
largest account, Twentieth Century Fox Home Entertainment.
I have worked at AGI for 3 years, gradually working my way up to the
level of Catalogue Account Manager. I have a great interest in the home
entertainment industry after working on various accounts throughout my
time at AGI.
Through my experience of working on high profile accounts I have
developed a very calm and confident manner in delivering completed
projects efficiently, on budget and to high standards. My professional
and hard-working demeanour has resulted in my manager relying heavily
on me for support in coordinating my fellow colleagues during her
absence to ensure our standards are maintained in producing high
quality design and packaging. In my previous role, also within AGI, I
was also responsible for a team of 9 people in my manager's
absence.
I have excellent communication skills and enjoy corresponding with my
clients on a daily basis, both face to face and by email and phone. My
experience has taught me that communication throughout complex projects
is necessary in order to present your ideas and outline your workflow
to the client face to face, confidently and fully researched. This
prevents confusion and also pre-empts any questions that may arise
later on. In the event that I encounter any problems I use my
initiative to come up with a solution to present back to the client,
rather than querying with them first. This is because I believe that
it's always best to provide the client with a solution rather
than a problem.
I am a quick learner and am very technically minded. I adjust easily to
new technology and systems, which has in the past enabled me to explain
and create handbooks on how to use programs early on as a new starter
at AGI. We have just started using a new system and although I am not a
designated trainer, my managers approach me to train new starters and
help out with questions from my colleagues. As an avid reader of the
New Media Age website (*/) and subscriber to their
iPhone application and podcast, I am up to date with new technology and
am continually trying to expand my knowledge.
Working on the Catalogue account, I continually revisit old stock to
present new concepts to Fox in order for them to have modern, refreshed
projects in the market at all times. Due to the nature of Catalogue
accounts, I have many different projects going on at once and it is
important I prioritise and multitask in order to meet each
deadline.
To ensure that all departments understand our time restrictions, I work
with a status report which highlights deadlines at several stages
during a project, based on AGI's agreed KPI's with Fox. The
status report enables me to work ahead and ensure a methodical and
efficient running of my projects.
It is important to retain a cool head when working closely with
clients, therefore when I have a project that is likely to become
pressurised, I work with my team and spread out the work or tasks
within the project so we can coordinate a smooth running of my
projects. This help is reciprocated when my colleagues within the Fox
account or on other accounts within AGI need any support.
I am a committed, enthusiastic, friendly team player with an
enthusiastic, organised and common-sense approach to work. Along with a
great sense of humour and lively personality I would aim to bring a
sense of enjoyment to the team. Additionally, with my worldwide life
experience I am interculturally sensitive, which would enable me to
communicate well with partners or clients elsewhere in the world.
