Dear Value Retail,

I am an experienced and enthusiastic Graphic Designer with a BA (Hons) degree in Graphic Design. I'm currently seeking an opportunity to become part of an inspiring design team as a designer, which can help me grow as a creative and really benefit the industry. I came across the vacancy for Graphic Designer and had to put myself forward. I feel I have a lot of offer the company as I not only have experience in print and digital but have some knowledge of UI designs for iPhone and iPad. I feel I could really sink my teeth into this role.

While I studied for my degree I was able to develop on some very useful skills and express my creativity. From my CV you can gather I have a strong understanding of Photoshop, Illustrator and InDesign as well as Dreamweaver and some Flash knowledge. I also spend my time away from the computer to develop on my traditional drawing skills. I have lots of enthusiasm, motivation, and work well as part of a team but also can be left to work on my own initiative. As a designer I like to think outside the box and work well under pressure and also possess excellent time management, demonstrated while working for myself and in design studios.

Over the years I have worked with, and for, such companies as the BBC, Google, Paul Smith, V&A, The Royal Collection, Jigsaw, The Feel Good Drinks Company, Hugo Boss, Breo, Aston Villa FC, The Mailbox, Warwick Castle and many more independent shops, stores, chains and studios. I have also been fortunate enough to work with some lovely local companies on various design projects for clients like O2, Virgin and Sony with Chimera Studios and Rare Form New Media.
