I would like to be considered for the role of Account Executive.
Having studied and excelled at creative subjects throughout my education, including 2:1 BA and MA (with merit) degrees in American History and Literature from UEA, this role is ideal and I believe one that I will prosper in. The nature of these achievements has catered me to the requirements that you are desiring; my written communication has always been clear and expressive, both utilised and bolstered through essay writing and writing articles that appeared in the student newspaper.
Whilst the majority of my achievements during education clearly showcase my creative side, I also believe I am quite strong analytically and numerically, having done well in Maths during school and possessing impressive mental arithmetic capabilities.
I have used Microsoft Office programs such as Word, Excel, and Powerpoint to a great degree, using Powerpoint in particular to create presentations in front of large groups, consistently receiving high marks for interesting concepts and a clear presentation style. Whilst I work well as an individual, dictating my own deadlines and workload, I work equally as well as part of a team, having completed presentations, visual essays, and film projects as part of a group, all of which have accomplished high marks. My current role at CEB also includes a substantial amount of teamwork, with individual and team goals being set each quarter and meeting these as a group is an enjoyable learning experience.
My current Account Management Associate position at CEB involves regular interactions with clients, via both phone conversations and e-mail, in order to maintain good working relationships and, by demonstrating the value of CEB's service, leading the way for membership renewal conversations. I am already used to dealing with clients on a daily basis, so this aspect of this role does not intimidate me in the slightest. Solution selling is also a major aspect of my role, as identifying a need of a client, or a potential client, and then displaying how a CEB membership can solve this issue, such as via best practice, data insights, peer benchmarks, or surveys, is what makes companies start and continue their relationship with the company.
