About me

I went to play school, primary school, high school and college like everyone except I didn't go to university - I missed that one out. I opted to head to London to start my career in the film industry however I had to get a temporary job first.

This happened to be the Internet Advertising Bureau (IAB) and where my adventure in advertising began...

I joined the IAB as an office assistant over three and half years ago, and soon progressed to web assistant then online production coordinator. Recently I have been promoted to online content producer.

I established all IAB''s video content and have carved out a position directing, producing, filming and editing every online educational video over the past year. The videos range across every digital channel, I have been responsible for interviews with the likes of Martha Lane Fox, Richard Eyre, Guy Phillipson and even Stephen Fry.

Alongside producing video content, I have coordinated the IAB's email council. This is one the largest email working groups in the UK, consisting of all the senior representatives from all the influential email companies. Over the past year we have been responsible for creating a new email guide for advertisers, launching the first ever IAB Email Blog and carried out research around email effectiveness.

My role also consists of building all IAB's email marketing output and most importantly I have co-managed the IAB website and all of it's content including * (the UK's first consumer facing website about behavioural advertising).

In my spare time I am passionate about film and have worked on numerous short films and music videos. I'm now currently embarking on creating a comic book that's been mulling around in my head for some time. And launching a project with a friend called Future Rising which will be the first dedicated website to helping students of all ages understand and get a job in the digital advertising industry.

In my short time in the industry I have accomplished and learnt a lot. The IAB has given me a holistic view of the industry and I feel that this knowledge will be invaluable in my future career.

I want my adventure to continue in advertising and feel the creative route is the most appropriate role.
