About me
I first became interested in the field of Graphic Design when I was at Secondary School and
studying Art and Design. I chose to study Graphic Design at Coventry University as I wanted to
develop this interest and further my design skills in Advertising, Copywriting, Branding and Web
Design. Having graduated in November 2009 with a 2:1. I am now keen to turn an interest into a career.
So that I could gain some design and advertising experience, in my second year at University I
completed a 10 Week Work Placement and was asked to stay for an extended period at a Graphic Design company called Hybrid Dialect. Here I carried out a number of tasks as detailed in the
attached C.V. Whilst at University I was involved in entries for a number of renowed design
competitions which included re-branding and advertising for major companies such as T-mobile, Feelgood Drinks and French Connection (FCUK).
Since leaving University I have carried out a number of freelance design projects including personal music promotion, nightclub flyer designs, promotional work, book cover and artwork designs. I am currently working as a freelancer, taking on minor projects for local companies for their up and
coming advertising campaigns.
All the above experience and work has involved using specialist software and has included working with a wide variety of people, which I have found both challenging and enjoyable. I am comfortable working as part of a team, for clients, working to strict briefs and time scales. However, I am also competent when working alone.
