About me
I am a recent graduate with a 1st-class honours in Graphics & Digital Design. On this course, I made a variety of inventive creations, including a redesigned Eminem deluxe CD case; a tactile book experience that incorporated different colours and fabrics; an in-depth analysis of current trends in digital photography, and their implications; and an art project that experimented with printing treasured images on transient, everyday tissue paper, creating an object that the participants could carry with them and use in their day-to-day lives.
Soon after finishing university, I secured an internship with a small company called The Creation Lab. My role consisted of designing the website's visual imagery, ensuring it is in line with the company's branding policy or the particular requirements of the client. I also make sure that the website design is responsive on all devices, and regularly liaise with clients to identify their needs and better meet their targets.
In terms of why I'm suited for this role, it's important to stress that, at my most recent company, I was the sole designer: this meant that everything fell on my shoulders. I worked out how best to accomplish a project; I managed my time effectively; and I delivered an end result that both my employer and the company's clients were pleased with. To do this straight out of university was a huge responsibility, but I believe I have excelled, and the experience has shown that I can work within the demanding practicalities of what is often a fast-moving industry. Therefore, you will taking on someone who has proved themselves at one level, and is ready for the next step.
I also feel the projects I work on are greatly enriched when they help people in some way. I want my work to leave an impact, and making people happy or simply smile, even though it may sound mundane, seems to me like one of the best impacts you can have.
On a more personal level, I am sociable, open-minded individual who loves football, and enjoys keeping up with the latest design and technology trends, often doing this in my spare time.
