About me
I am a graduate of Sheffield Hallam University where I studied BA (Hons) Graphic Design with a specialism in Illustration. Since graduating I have had work exhibited in Sheffield, Manchester and London. I had an illustration Highly Commended in the Unleashed: Best In The North 2012 competition run by Mr Thomas' Chophouse and also I have had an illustration featured in the prestigious publication released annually by the Association of Illustrators called 'Images - Best of British Illustration'.
Skills
Adobe Creative Suite Proficient (Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign), Microsoft Office Proficient (Word, Excel, Powerpoint), Variety of Hand Print methods (Screen, Lino, Drypoint, Letterpress, Silk Screen) Several times I have attempted woodcut prints but due to a lack of tools this hasn't worked very well, though I understand the method required.
Sector Experience
During my year out before University I used my time to gain invaluable industry experience. After a weeks work experience at Leavesden Studios for Warner Brothers where I demonstrated my enthusiasm, hard working nature and dedication to do an excellent job, I was asked back to complete a 3 month placement with the Graphic Design team. I worked as a Junior Illustrator assisting with the design, construction and delivery of the 2-D and 3-D artwork the team was responsible for., After graduating from University I have done several freelance artworking jobs for Other Creative LTD where I was responsible for cleaning up files and putting together internet banners for some of their clients.
