About me
Dear Sir or Madam,
I am writing to you to apply for the Junior Creative Artworker role advertised on Reed. I have just graduated a Broadcast Media course at Brunel University, Uxbridge, with a 1st. I am interested in working for you as I have a passion for digital design, which is something that I would like to carry on doing as my career.
By managing to get work experience for two different companies over the summer, I gained an understanding of creating high quality designs in a working environment. It also allowed me to further my understanding of the Adobe Suite above the skills learnt on my university course. This work also required the manipulation and editing of various photos using Photoshop. Furthermore, I acquired a good understanding of the tight deadlines that are often required. This work also gave me the knowledge of the print design process and was involved with the process from initial design to leasing with the print company to ensure everything was created to a high quality. During this time I was also needed to keep in close contact with the rest of the design team, including managers, to ensure that everything that I created met the brand guidelines as well as the ideas that they had envisioned for each project.
As well as this during my time at university I gained a knowledge of HTML/CSS through different modules. This also included the design and implementation of a responsive webpage which can be seen on my portfolio website. As well as this I also have experience of Wordpress for creating and editing a website.
These are all things I would like to develop and carry into the job role offered.
