About me

I am looking to build a career in the fashion industry and gain knowledge and to widen my experience with a successful company. I am hard working, reliable and determined to get the job done; I have excellent communication and organisation skills with experience in retail and customer services. My passion is fashion and I pride myself on being a fashion-forward thinker by staying on top on the current trends in the industry, by this I read up the latest fashion magazines, newspapers and internet blogs. I enjoy shopping and keeping up with the trends with what's in the shops. I believe that appearance is very important and I take pride in being fashion forward yet being smart and professional.

I have just finished four years at West Nottinghamshire College of which I spent two years working at my BTEC National Diploma in Fashion and Textiles and two years establishing my Higher National Diploma. Whilst at college I gained a wide range of skills produced from the two courses, with knowledge of sewing skills, creative skills in producing women's wear designs, design boards and trend boards.

Ashton Accounts, Mansfield, July 2009 Present Accounts Assistant, At Ashton Accounts I handle and organise customer profiles and accounts. I carry out invoicing, monthly credit control, Paying customer’s wages, daily banking and posting moneys and cheques also handling petty cash. I am fully computer literate and am able to use word and spread sheet packages., H- Samuels, Mansfield, Oct 2007 - Jan 2008 Christmas Retail Associate, Liaising with customer helping with their product selection using my selling skills to the best of my ability ensuring I met the customer needs and requirements. Maintaining stock levels and everyday training. This included training on product knowledge and operating the payment system., Techmax Pro-Gear, Kirkby-In-Ashfield, July 2006 - August 2006 Work Experience, Techmax is a bespoke manufactures specialising in race wear, corporate, work wear and promotional clothing. During the time I was at Techmax I assisted with cutting patterns for T-shirts also the packaging and shipping orders to customers. I also sat in on the Design Ideas and assisted on the Accounts Department.
