About me

Hi,My name is Jacqui & I live in Macclesfield,Cheshire (also known as the end of the silk road). I graduated from John Moore University in 1998 with a BA HONS degree in fashion and textiles. Since then I have worked for printed textile companies in various roles & have a great understanding of screen printing and digital printing and also how one fabric prints differently to another.

My first job in textiles was sampling mini silk screen for new designs & colour matching. From then I moved into cad design separation for Silk screen & then cad for digital printing when this became the more popular printing method. I have worked on ladies fashion, menswear accessories and also house hold textiles so have a good understanding of all of these areas & the process involved from start to finish.

I have recently started to follow my dream of working on my own designs as a freelance surface designer. My designs usually start off as a pen and ink drawing or a photograph which I then take into illustrator & photoshop to develop the design.

I can create designs for both fashion & furnishing & can easily work to customer brief. I am available for freelance, commissions & licensing. If you would like to discuss my work further please get in touch.
