About me

Michelin Star chef Jacob "Jake" Bickelhaupt first appeared on the Chicago food scene through kitchen positions with the upscale American restaurants Charlie Trotter's and Schwa. Jacob Bickelhaupt merged his love of cooking and hosting to develop a concept restaurant that offered patrons a homey, intimate dining experience. He became well known for his personal interpretation of American and fusion cuisines.

Using locally sourced ingredients and techniques that evoke memories from his childhood and travels, the chef's innovative multi-course menu earned him high praise from food critics, and multiple accolades.

In 2015, Mr. Bickelhaupt was among the 11 top chefs nationwide awarded the title of Food & Wine Best New Chef. He went on to open and operate the successful pop-up concept restaurant and fine dining establishment Stone Flower. Today, he lends his culinary expertise to support charity dinners and fundraising events for the One Flow Foundation, a nonprofit he founded to promote emotional health in the restaurant industry.
