About me

I have extensive experience in design for web and front end development, being involved in all aspects of the design process from liaising/taking briefs from clients, IA's, wireframes, to the final 'go-live' website process.

My work has now been 100% web based for 6 years after a long combination with print. I have now worked with 4 different CMS's, one of which I was installing and customising, the others working closely with backend developers, giving an extensive understanding of requirements. I now hand code css (can use dreamweaver if required) and utilise the less pre-processor for speed. My photoshop/illustrator skills are high and I have a strong interest in how these are rendered in css3 and cross-browsers. For dynamic interaction I use jquery or the latest css animations. I optimise for mobile and for WCAG accessibility compliance and keep up to date with latest techniques via twitter and blogs.

My clients include corporate and education sector websites, E-newsletters, identities, logo's, brochures, leaflets, posters and exhibitions. The design work I've produced shows a good understanding of being creative within corporate guidelines, brand values and that I can take care of high-end retouching/basic illustration. I am calm under pressure, hard working and dedicated.
