About me
I have been working in trade magazines for the past 15 years, in editorial production roles. I was most recently Production Editor on monthly trade title Retail Jeweller (published by Emap), which role I held for the past nine years. I sub-edited all content for the magazine and website Retail-jeweller - comprising a mix of news and features - and finalised all layouts in InDesign. I also laid some pages out myself from templates. I had sole responsibility for sending pages to press and giving their final approval.
I am very comfortable with using InDesign, as well as using Photoshop to check the resolution of images and convert them to CMYK. I am also familiar with content management system Webvision.
I am a highly organised individual, accustomed to managing multiple tasks and prioritising my workload. I pride myself on my attention to detail and strong language skills. I am at ease working both independently and as part of a team.
I am available for freelance subbing work two to three days a week, in London or north Hertfordshire.
