About me

With a career in design spanning over 21 years, I've gained a wealth of experience and developed a solid foundation of practical knowledge to become a multi-skilled designer. I've built a varied portfolio of print and web design projects for a wide client base, demonstrating creative, yet purposeful design with a clear commercial focus, deliverable on time and within budget to a high standard.

Over the past few years I have combined by design and artistic skills creating surface pattern design, an area I am keen to develop further.

My artistic passion is botanical illustration and the natural world. My art is predominantly created by hand using watercolour and pen and ink, although I do take most pieces into digital form to make prints; add elements such as lettering or digital patterns; or to create products using my original art.

I'm mindful of the impact we make in the world and source eco-friendly art supplies (vegan where possible), recycled or sustainable papers and packaging where I can, using local suppliers in the UK that share my values. I aim to reduce my carbon footprint and the amount of plastic I use, working towards an aim of 0% to landfill.

I hope by creating work inspired by the natural world, it inspires others to continue to take care of our environment for generations to come.
