About me
Portfolio site -
My name's Doug Brown, I'm currently a Freelance Motion Graphics and VFX artist with over 4 years professional experience producing work for brands such as Sainsbury's, Boots, BT, T-Mobile, Organix and LV= Liverpool Victoria. I'm able to confidently complete projects from brief to final delivery autonomously, as well as being able to fit in and enjoy pulling my weight within team environments.
I graduated from Bournemouth University in 2013 studying 'CGI Modelling and Animation BSc (Hons)' for which I received a 2:1, at the Digital Design Centre situated within Bournemouth & Poole College.
Immediately upon graduating I was lucky enough to be given animation work at 'Rock Paper Film' (Now 'Little Blue Hut') which was then situated in the Enterprise Pavilion building on AUB's campus. We produced a series of animations for Boots Pharmacy.
Almost immediately after the project we worked on was complete (which was about two months in production) I was again super lucky to then be offered a job at 'The LightSide' / 'White Lantern Film' also based in Bournemouth were I stayed working at for almost three years. It was a really valuable working experience and I was able to be apart of many great projects ranging from some big commercial work for companies like Sainsburys and LV=(TM) Liverpool Victoria, to doing VFX and Title animation on the feature film the company produced called 'K-SHOP', which has been very successful and received great media coverage.
In August 2016 I left 'LightSide' to focus on doing more Freelance work with the guys at a production company called 'Sunstone', sourcing work from Norway and the UK. I'm now based in London working working independently as a Freelance Motion Graphics and VFX Artist.
