About me
Charles De Meyer is a multi-talented director from Brussels, Belgium.
Directing mainly music videos and commercials, he also composes music, has a love for concept & logo design, photography and recently even pursues the art of sculpture.
Although originating from animation, Charles is never happier than on a real set. This permits him more effects-heavy pieces of which he has become infamous for, as well as live-action direction. Despite his unreal talent for effects work, he has always regarded this as a means to an end, rather than pure eye-candy.
His jaw-dropping work has since earned him 2 x Young Director's Awards in Cannes for two consecutive years (Best European Music Video in 2011 and 2012) and three of his music videos have been Staff Picked by Vimeo.
