Dear Sirs

I am writing to apply for your position of 'Junior Designer/Artworker'.

I am recent graduate in Industrial Design BA, at Loughborough University Design School looking to expand my experience within the Industrial/Product Design industry.

I have a compelling interest in the evolving forms of the modern design concept, as well as the simple but effective design solutions that are produced as a team. I have a keen curiosity in the design development between concept and final prototype; and understand that team work is the key to obtaining collective ideas, and ensuring an overall more efficient working system when designing.

I have a compelling interest in the evolving forms of the modern design concept, as well as the simple but effective design solutions that are produced as a team. I have a large passion for generating concepts and developing these ideas into a both visual and physical form to help solve a needed problem and improve the user's experience. I feel my keen curiosity in the design development between concept and final prototype; and understanding how contributing together within team work is the key to obtaining collective ideas and ensuring more efficient working system when designing. I am also enthusiastic in learning how new technology is incorporated into production and how improvements are being made in manufacturing techniques. I feel motivated at an opportunity to continue a design position within the design industry and put everything I have learnt throughout my 4 year design course into practise.

I had previous experience as a Packaging Technologist at Alliance Boots, where I managed and developed a number of ranges for both Christmas and All-year-round gifts. I was responsible for ensuring all the separate elements for both the packaging and the manufacture of the Christmas commercial products/gifts.

My role would include creating rough/mock ups in Photoshop & Illustrator or even CAD how the product would sit within the gift, to assist additional external designs modifying the actual templates used to print the lines. Discussing Improvements and assisting with progressing Brand Identity for an emotive direction for new product lines.

A number of products, included Trevor Sorbie Mens, Botanic's Mens, Hackett, and Boots' exclusive GHD line.

I believe that I will gain countless more skills within your design workplace and would very much appreciate any opportunity of a design role within your company; continuing development of designs and progression with improving customer's experiences
