Re: Junior Designer / Animator

I am writing to apply for the position of Junior Designer / Animator, as advertised on creativepool.

Working within the creative media industry is a passion of mine, and I would love the opportunity to get involved in the industry. I recently completed a MArt Games Design course at Sheffield Hallam University. Over the course of my studies I have developed skills in conceptual art, photography, animation, texturing, modelling and game mechanics, which I have showcased in my online website portfolio. Further examples of my work can be viewed at where I created a sample mobile RPG game called Life and Labour.

My games project with Sheffield Hallam University gave me invaluable hands-on experience in games development. I honed my 2d skills as a 2d artist on a game project called Dice of Blood, which was exhibited at the BE Show in London.

I currently work with Sheffield Futures as a volunteers part of the Media and Communications Team, providing content for the web, Indesign, publications and staff newsletters, contributing to the success of key events, which has given me a good all-round knowledge of the media industry.
