2017 marks the 100th birthday of Finnish independence. As the wild child of the five Nordic countries, Finland has always done things their own way – inspired by the rich tradition of Scandinavian design but defined by their unique breed of creativity. Clean lines with a twist, never settling in between form and function but going for both, nature like you’ve never felt it before. Finnish Form is a selection of eight contemporary Finnish brands, from fashion to interiors and architecture. Leading the way is Iittala, the world famous cult brand responsible for some of the most iconic glassware in the world. This is not just an exhibition but a tiny lens into the national psyche of Finland. Come celebrate this odd little country on the fringes of Europe at next month's London Design Fair. Curated by ALVAR, an independent London-based style magazine with a Nordic twist. Powered by Kone, a Finnish technology company.
