Userma”atre”setepenre (Keeper of Harmony & Balance) also known as Ramses II was the third pharaoh of the 19th dynasty.
Ancient Egypt – from the end of Neolithic period, prior to 3100BC to the collapse of Ptoleamic dynasty with the death of Cleopatra VII in 30BC
Pharaoh: representative of God on Earth and ruler of all dynasties. Pharaoh, from the term “per aa” translates to “great house” referring to the royal palace.
To display the power and association with gods, the pharaoh wore richly decorated garments with precious gems and jewelry.
The skirt “Shendyt” was worn by all men and its length changed between the Old and New Kingdoms.However the head dress “Nemes” was a royal emblem only worn by pharaohs.
Egyptians believed the skin and bones of gods were made of gold and all deceased pharaohs would become gods eventually.
Blue: represents the expanse of the universe, comprised by the heavens, the sky and the life arising from the Nile.
Gold: the color of Gods – eternal, untouchable, bright, powerful, indestructible
