In gloomy times, The Great British Bake off provides 8 weeks of sweet, silly relief. An escape to a place where the only dramas are a collapsed souffle or a soggy bottom. To celebrate the return of Bake Off to our screens, we turned serious, mundane things all over the UK, sweet, by transforming them into delicious baked goods. Rather than go big on films, we went bite-size, creating 7 10” films. Each showed a typically boring British scene – which is then interrupted by delicious cake. Because when Bake Off is back, life really is looking sweeter.
