25 Years / 25 Things Gleamed Nuggets of Wisdom & Other Useless Suggestions.

Blimey! We can’t believe that Zip has turned 25 years old.

We’ve come a long way since our humble beginnings. Way back when, we were knocking up record sleeves for bands, DJs and pop acts, as well as flyers for clubs in Ibiza. Over the years we’ve dabbled in many creative areas. From designing the first mobile app for Aston Martin, tour visuals for Bon Jovi, digital dashboards for speedboats, written the odd treatment for a music video (or three) and even designed a trophy for the TV show, American Idol.

Some of these projects have been more memorable than others, but we’ll always flex our creative muscles where we can. To that end, we’ve learnt some valuable lessons and a few rules of thumb along the way... So with these gleamed nuggets of knowledge and having a little light-hearted lark, we’ve gone and created a manifesto type thing to celebrate our 25th year as a studio. Combining our love of fluorescent colour and Risograph printing, here it is...

We're grateful to be doing this for a living and we wanted this artefact to hint at that. Also to take this opportunity to thank all the Zipsters who have been part of the team over the years, it’s a shout out to all the incredible artists, photographers, illustrators, retouchers, printers and clients that we've worked with, forming great collaborations and long lasting friendships.
