ABOUT

For more than six years, Dan Hawcroft lived a whirlwind existence as Personal Assistant to Ian Fraser Kilmister, better known as the one and only ‘Lemmy from Motörhead’. Dan’s journey through the live music industry is truly remarkable, from modest beginnings in his band's rehearsal space to stadium filled gigs and securing a place in rock’n’roll history.

‘Wasted Opportunities’ is Dan’s story…
It's a journey through the highs and lows of life on the road; where drugs, parties, and the unpredictable nature of live music collide. Through Dan's candid reflections and an immersive mix of audio, art, photography and print design, ‘Wasted Opportunities’ transports us into a world where the legacy of rock’n’roll truly comes alive. It’s a tribute to the musicians that Dan has worked with, to the crews who keep the shows running, and to the fans who are the lifeblood of it all.

‘Wasted Opportunities’ is a one-of-a-kind rock ’n’ roll collector’s item.

Each 276 page hand-numbered/hand-signed Case Bound Book is presented in a foiled Wibalin Buckram handmade slipcase.

The book showcases exclusively commissioned artwork through collaborations with artists and illustrators from around the world. These artists, specifically chosen for their historical or project-related connections to Dan, add a unique visual dimension to the stories. Additionally, the book features unseen photography, handwritten notes, touring memorabilia, and a collection of exquisitely illustrated concert posters.

Owners of the book will also have exclusive access to a companion podcast through a matching numbered Holographic Laminate housed in an acrylic case. Hosted by Billy Lunn, the frontman of British rock band The Subways, this audio series features over five hours of intimate conversations between Billy, author Dan Hawcroft, and some very special guests from within the pages. The episodes follow the narrative, encouraging readers to listen at appropriate points within the story to gain a deeper insight into Dan’s life on the road.
