Commissioned by SA broadcaster Kyknet to produce our 23 minute script for their annual film festival competition held in Cape Town, the Silwerskermfees (Silver Screen Festival). The film will also be broadcast on Kyknet, in various slots throughout the course of 2015 / 2016.

The short film was shot on location in Montagu in the Western Cape, edited, telecine graded & mastered back in London with sound mixing done in Paris.

Bennie and Retha are two lonely souls, searching for love. With both going through inner conflict and signing up to a dating site, the two are taken on a journey of self-discovery. Will they find their true love? Or are they setting themselves up for disaster? ‘Konneksies’ is a romantic comedy with a big heart set in a small town. It’s a universal story of finding love in the strangest places.
