Journalism is not over, as many predicted, but the profession of journalist has been undergoing a rapid and radical transformation. Among the many consequences of the ongoing changes, journalists are increasingly encouraged (obliged?), to be their own bosses.

This newly redesigned personal website goes some way to reflecting this new state of affairs. My intention is to use this space to talk about television, comment on what I'm watching, publish program reviews and promote some discussions, as I've been doing for almost 15 years.

At the same time, the site will also be a showcase to publicize a branch of work that has particularly enchanted me: the production of books, based on more in-depth studies and research on media and television. Now, in June, I'm launching a book dedicated to the trajectory of Jacinto Figueira Júnior, who called himself the inventor of the dog world on our TV.

At the end of this year, a new book should be published, a meticulous biography of Gilberto Braga, one of the most important soap opera authors in the country. I have other projects in mind and, over time, I will talk about them in this space as well.

Anyway, this site was born with one foot planted in journalistic work and another in the dissemination of this work. Comments and suggestions are always welcome.
