A personal illustration and storytelling project inspired by My Chemical Romance's Long Live the Black Parade tour and its wider visual world.

The project explores how a single fictional narrative can be communicated across multiple artistic mediums, rather than relying on one traditional comic format. I developed an imagined story within the world of The Black Parade, using a combination of a concert illustration, a one-page comic and a three-page silent artbook.

Each piece contributes a different part of the narrative, allowing the story to unfold through imagery, atmosphere, character and visual symbolism rather than relying entirely on dialogue or conventional sequential storytelling.

The project was an exploration of music-inspired storytelling, worldbuilding and visual narrative, particularly the ways in which artwork can expand an existing fictional world while still feeling cohesive across different formats.
