Simon Cheng and Alan Lam have always had a deep rooted love and passion for coffee and people. They created a place called Silverspoon that allowed people to come in and try their amazing coffee, but also a space that focused on acceptance, compassion, and human kindness. They brew the popular Stumptown and Verve, making it a destination for many coffee lovers. And their latte art is arguably the cleanest superior in San Francisco's Chinatown area.
Inspired by latte art, the vision system for Silverspoon Cafe was interesting to design because it involves something rooted in Chinese culture. I tried to create an impactful but aesthetic approach to the typography. The process was mostly based on doodling with each letter, and finally a circle appears which used to emphasize the reunion and success in Chinese culture.
