As an essential platform of Xfinity, the Ethnic Channel offers the most reliable, diverse and widely distributed programming for minority ethnic groups anywhere in the Bay Area and providing its customers a complete television entertainment experience.
As a pioneer spot, the Bay Area has long been a destination for immigrants from within the United States and abroad, and boasts one of the most diverse populations in the country; Therefore, people who live here all have most commonly understood form of assimilation is that of cultural assimilation. Especially for minorities. they are eager to find a way to maintain their own culture, and need a TV platform like Xfinity Ethnic Channel to help them to achieve their goal of cultural integration.
we were briefed to create a series of key visions that had to be interpretation to the “Don’t lose your bicultural.”The creative approach was to leverage Xfinity Ethnic Channel’s patented brand promise of “multicultural provider”by showing it in dramatic fashion, rather than just saying it in a straightforward way. To further reinforce the theme the solution was built around fully embracing the TV test pattern which alludes to the moment of “loss”. The design ties Ethnic channels including Brazil, China, France, Italy, Japan, India, Russia, middle east by connecting the symbols of the participating countries to create a unified yet diverse feeling. As an audience, you will know that the Xfinity Ethnic Channel is a way to help the minority ethnic groups won’t lose their own culture.
