ABOUT
“The Five Elements(Wu Xing)” Series Illustration
This series of artwork was created to explore the visual representation of the energy of the world in ancient Chinese philosophy, encompassing the fundamental dynamics that lend themselves to the evolutionary process of yin and yang. Ancient Chinese philosophers used the theory of the five elements to describe the formation of all things in the world and their interrelationships. The illustrator has boldly captured moments in the face of this powerful energy, while imaginatively illustrating these moments as female protagonists from different countries of different eras and backgrounds.
