Luxury isn’t always Golden is a project that discusses the modern culture of luxury meaning expensive. I wanted to try and achieve a sense of luxury being attainable for anyone, no matter what your status.

This project became a personal exploration into what I consider to be luxuries based on the five senses. Shown here are some examples of my findings that have been executed in photography, pencil drawing and written word. I chose to use three different mediums that I enjoy using and consider to be luxurious in process.

The entire project became an experience that I consider to be luxurious. It was explored and completed throughout the first COVID-19 lockdown in the UK and although this was a challenging time, it gave me the luxury of time to explore and create such realisations.
