About me

I am a Northamptonshire based artist who enjoys using traditional methods in my work. I have for the most part grown up and lived in Northampton however I was born in Bulawayo, Zimbabwe and came to England in 1978. I have since lived in Cambridge, Kent and Northampton where I am now based. I have spent my life time drawing and painting and although I have achieved my A Level Art, BTEC in Art and Design and BA Hons in Graphic Art and Illustration I consider myself to be largely self taught and take inspiration from the both the natural world and many past and current artists.

I have always had a strong passion and enthusiasm for the natural world as you will see in my work of woodland scenes and trees, this is one of my favourite topics to paint. I have often taken inspiration from artists such as, Dali, Bosch, Klimt, Van Gogh and current artists such as Todd Schorr, Ron English, Chris Mars, Dan Seagrave, Paul Bonner, H. R. Giger, the list is endless.

In some of my other works you will see I enjoy painting strange and surreal landscapes depicting horror, fantasy and science fiction. This shows my love for escapism and surreal and alternate worlds. Further evidence of this can be seen in the 'Wonderland section' as another great passion of mine is 'Alice in Wonderland'. I also spend copious hours of my time creating 3D sculptures of robots and beasties using anything I can get my hands on from Fimo, random findings or recycled materials.

It is the greatest compliment to be asked for a commission piece and I have done a large volume of commissions for people over the years, this has included paintings, murals, and unique portraits from photographs.
