Mortgage Strategy serves the financial market and has been around for a number of years. The brief was for cleaner, more visual front cover in keeping with the corporate website and one that would attract middle management. The brief also demanded a new corporate logo, a change in typography to complement website and new templates.
The execution demanded sourcing striking new pictures and a bolder use of them; a new logo design which reflected the nature of the industry (mortgages) and typography that was at once easy to read, not stuffy and modern looking.
The result was a magazine that was more conceptually unified than its predecessor, employed a brand new, non serif font that was clean and easy to read and it tied in beautifully with the website. It was deemed 'a triumph' for the team and was commended at company presentation.
