WMH&I London

ABOUT

HONOR is one of the world's fastest growing consumer technology brands. Launched by Huawei in 2013, it was initially created to be Huawei’s budget sibling, targeting the global youth. In November of 2020, Huawei finalised a deal to sell off HONOR. WMH&I created a new premium, and more grown up, direction for the brand.

WMH&I created a simple yet sophisticated visual identity. The agency devised the ‘frame & canvas' system that builds out from the geometric logo, to unify all communication from digital to print to in store. The identity moved away from the previous carnival of colours to a more timeless monochrome palette, used in combination of geometric shapes that add a dynamic quality.

After the relaunch HONOR reached the second spot in China’s mobile phone market for the first time ever. It grew 100% YoY to reach 14 million units with a market share of 18% in 2021.
