When Atlanta’s iconic Big Chicken KFC franchise was remodeled, Wieden+Kennedy asked Awesome Inc to help create a short film to celebrate the news.
This was one of the most collaborative projects we‘ve ever had the opportunity to work on - we were so honored that W+K entrusted us to help tell this sweet story of a boy and his chicken friend.

In this four-minute animated short film, a boy befriends a giant chicken and they set out on an adventure. For us, a creative adventure was to be had, exploring styles and possible storylines with W+K.

Being that the Big Chicken is a GA icon we’re familiar, and the boy and the chicken travelled about North GA together, W+K was wide open when it came to our suggestions.
We initially worked on a short teaser to be released on social, then completed the longer film to explain where the chicken was during the months that the franchise was closed for renovations.

Our in house studio partner, Bluetube, created the original music and sound design for the piece.
