MULTIFACETED FILMMAKER NATHALIE LAMB JOINS EMERALD PICTURES

Published

Emerald Pictures announces the addition of director Nathalie Lamb to their roster of talent. This partnership marks Lamb's first U.S. representation, underscoring Emerald Pictures’ ongoing expansion as a global creative force in the industry.

With a diverse portfolio that spans genres and techniques, Lamb has mastered the art of crafting compelling narratives through advertisements, feature films & stop-motion animations. She dedicated herself to film at an early age, starting with shorts starring handmade puppets she created while growing up in southern Germany. She later refined her craft at the renowned Filmakademie Baden-Wuerttemberg, where she studied direction.

Since then, Lamb has built an impressive filmography that showcases her wide range of abilities. Her animated short film about a long-distance relationship, "Him & Her,” garnered international recognition and accolades at Cannes Film Festival and the LA Shorts Fest in 2018 among other esteemed festivals. The following year, she debuted her 90-minute documentary, Silence is a Beautiful Sound, which explores the lives of six people on the threshold between the world of hearing and sign language. Lamb's commercial collaborations include prominent brands such as Mercedes-Benz, PeTA, Hansaplast, and fritz-kola.

In 2022, Lamb was named second in line for shots’ New Director of the Year with her spot for Hansaplast. Her latest achievement includes the forthcoming feature documentary, Cochlear One More Sense.

"It is a great honour to join the Emerald Pictures family, an incredibly experienced team that will bring out the best in my work," says Lamb. "We are united by our shared values of visual storytelling, integrity, and expertise in filmmaking. Together, we aim to create captivating and unique stories that engage our audience."

"Nathalie is a very clever, and a considered director. By that, I mean she’s well versed in many aspects of filmmaking, has vast technical and post knowledge, mad writing skills, and is amazing with actors,” says John Duffin, Emerald Pictures Co-Founder. “She looks at the world just a little differently than most people, which makes her special. Nathalie has accomplished so much at such a young age. Her potential is limitless–––who would not want to embrace and rally behind this kind of wonder and joy?”
