ABOUT

This was a live brief completed as part of my MSc in Marketing (Creative Advertising) at Manchester Metropolitan University.
Parched Tea is an artisan loose leaf tea company based in Manchester. We were tasked to develop a marketing campaign to increase online sales, social media engagement, and generally increase brand awareness.
The founder of Parched Tea is an actress, so we took this as a focus for a rebranding strategy, connecting it with the process of brewing the loose tea, and developed the concept of "Parched Tea is a Performance".
As 2016 is the 400th anniversary of Shakespeare's death, we decided to connect with this as well, developing Shakespeare themed poster campaigns, social media content, and in package content, such as a Shakespearean style play as instructions for the process of brewing the tea.
My role in this was the drawing on my previous experience as an English Literature student for inspiration and concept development, writing the copy for the posters ("To Tea, or not to Tea"; "Cuppa tea, cuppa tea, wherefore art thou cuppa tea?"; "Double double, toil and trouble, fire burn and teapot bubble"), and writing the short Shakespearean style play on how to brew the tea ("The Brewing of the Tea").
