SussexDrive is a proposed car-sharing and parking assistant tool designed for the University of Sussex. Designed in response to the over-crowding of university car parks and congestion on campus during peak times, SussexDrive aims to be a simple yet effective solution.

The app enables students who drive to campus to offer lifts to other students. Users input their scheduled arrival time to campus and offer lifts based on the number of spare seats available in their car. Based on this defined arrival time, students wanting a lift are able to search for the students driving to campus and request a lift. A second function of the app is a smart parking assistant which directs drivers to car parks with spaces.

The product was developed after vast initial research into pain points on the university campus with congestion and overfilled car parks highlighted as a key issue.

The app went through many prototypes and rounds of user testing before being presented in a very basic InVision prototype. I have since worked in Adobe XD to refine the interface and user experience.
