ABOUT

A few years ago, the Paris-based creative studio Yorgo & Co. approached us with an exciting project. They were working with Picon, the famous French bitter liqueur founded in 1837, and needed support in refining the illustration of the brand’s central icon—the rider on horseback, proudly lifting a bottle in one hand.

Picon is an iconic liqueur born from the bold vision of Gaétan Picon in 1837. This adventurous distiller ingeniously blended orange zest, gentian roots, and cinchona bark to create a timeless recipe. Today, Picon remains a cornerstone of French aperitifs, symbolizing elegance and refinement for over a century.

We were honored to take on this task. The aim was to make the illustration bolder, simpler, and more contemporary, while still respecting its tradition and heritage. To achieve this, we created two versions: one larger and more detailed, and another reduced to a minimal icon for smaller applications.

Working with brands that carry such history is always inspiring, and it comes with a sense of responsibility. This project was a true pleasure, and we’re proud to see our illustrations now in use, keeping the spirit of Picon alive in a modern way.
