ABOUT

Concept:

The Local Government Association (LGA) were seeking an agency to create a brand identity and supporting resources for their new graduate programme, Pathways to Planning. The identity needed to appeal to recent university graduates with an interest in the public sector and a desire to develop professionally as planners. It also needed to appeal to a group which is representative of the UK student population as a whole, and speak to under-represented groups, such as those from lower socio-economic backgrounds and also those from a BAME background.

We worked with the LGA team to create a fresh and exciting identity which we employed when creating the assets for the recruitment campaign, which ranged from animations and social media cards to web banners and ad templates.

Execution:

Firstly, we created an identity for Pathways to Planning. This included an innovative Lockup complete with a logo Mark, two graphic devices to be used where appropriate, a new five-colour palette and comprehensive brand guidelines.

We then moved into designing all the assets LGA would require for the recruitment campaign. This included a vast suite of assets including: web banners, digital and print ad templates, social media cards in varying sizes, PowerPoint templates and Word templates.

Once this was complete, the second phase of design commenced. We were tasked with creating a dynamic animation of the Lockup and graphic devices which could be used across web and social media. Once perfected, we created different versions of the animations, such as a standalone Lockup, end cards or a graphic device intertwined with a static image. These were all created in different sizes and in MP4 and GIF format.

Results:

The LGA team were delighted with the results and got to work using everything we created on social media, their website and communications straight away.
