ABOUT
Oxford University’s Department of Economics is a globally renowned centre of excellence, and the host of the university’s business economics programme, providing the tools and empowering senior business leaders to master the economic principles that shape today’s interconnected business landscape.
Whistlejacket were invited to work with the university to reposition and rebrand their economics programme, previously referred to as OUBEP. Once branding was finalised, additional deliverables, such as marketing materials, were also needed.
Stakeholder interviews and interactive workshops were undertaken to gain a better insight into alumni perceptions and their experiences with OUBEP. This brought clarity to the programme, helping define its brand architecture, narrative and form a strategic foundation for the renaming process.
Having developed the name Oxford Elevate, we crafted a brand system that takes inspiration from the well-known Oxford skyline, using geometric shapes arranged to mimic the recognisable architecture of the historic city. A strong use of blue secures Oxford Elevate within the university’s heritage and iconic identity.
