ABOUT
Brief –
The Waste and Resources Action Programme (WRAP) asked us to work on designing four infographics for an upcoming report in partnership with Automatic-sorting for Circularity in Textiles (ACT UK). The infographics were also going to be used to support future work and communications by WRAP (and ACT UK consortia partners).
Concept –
The infographics needed to help to make specific concepts within the report easier to understand and bring the report to life. Additionally, as the first infographics designed in WRAP’s new branding, they needed to set the standard for high-quality infographics, designed with accessibility and reader comprehension in mind.
Execution –
After dissecting the previous WRAP assets, we developed concepts in varying design directions for the WRAP team to choose from.
Once the preferred route was selected, we developed the infographics with regular feedback and input from the WRAP team. We implemented the new WRAP palette to colour code key information and design elements within each infographic. In addition, we created custom iconography to further aid understanding of these complex supply chain systems.
Results –
The infographics were incredibly well received by the WRAP team and they were impressed with the inaugural infographic design, stating that they planned to use this style for future WRAP infographics. Whistlejacket has also been featured as a collaborator in the overall report published by UK Fashion and Textile Association (UKFT).
