Ardray – Beam Suntory's newest blended whisky, centred around wild precision. This whisky celebrates the bold characteristics and heritage of Scotch whiskies, which Here Design built into the identity. Highland streams and rivers and windswept barley fields are echoed through Ardray’s bespoke ripple textured bottle, and the sentiment of organic, freeflowing elements is pulled through onto the box artwork. This abstract artwork, created by Lia Melia, is made using powder pigments and solvent paints, and baking them to form a translucent, enamel-like surface, giving it a sense of movement.

We worked with the Here team to not only realise their brand work for Ardray, but to bring Lia's artwork to life. This saw us experimenting with organic particle movements, adding an extra dimension to the core asset. The motion needed to represent the natural side of the Ardray brand, alluding to the same elements as the bespoke bottle. Whilst the artwork and bespoke bottle convey the ‘wild’ aspect of Ardray's 'Wild Precision' proposition, the precision element is a celebration of the precise craftsmanship of Japanese blending. Here Design honoured this through the perfectly triangular labels and the crisp, clean wordmark and label design.
